Chick flicks and a footy game

By Caitlyn Grant

On Friday, we watch chick flicks.

Make sure the children are in bed for this one, because Channel 9 will be airing the hilariously funny, raunchy and of course romantic, Bridesmaids.

Bridesmaids tells the story of an out-of-work pastry chef who must fight with the bride’s maid of honour over who takes the title of “the real best friend” of the bride.

With a star-studded cast including Kristen Wig, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne and the ever-funny Melissa McCarthy, who wouldn’t want to cosy up on the couch ready to laugh along with this female-led classic?

Bridesmaids will screen on Channel 9 at 8.30pm on Friday.

Flicking across channels, Channel Seven Mate will air The Other Woman.

Cameron Diaz, Leslie Mann and Kate Upton are taking the screen with the romantic comedy which follows the lives of three women in a relationship - all with the same man.

The film starts at 8.30pm on Friday, so grab the snacks, light the fire and get tucked in for a night at home.

AFL

For a palate cleanser, AFL is also offering up round 16 on Friday at 7.30pm.

Carlton and St Kilda will go head-to-head at Marvel Stadium in what is set to be a riveting watch between the Melbourne-based teams.

Tune in to Channel Seven to see if the Saints will rebound after a horror few weeks on the field.
